Emily Ward branding; business card 2.

Based on my discussion with Emily about the fact using her signature isn't a huge problem but could be a personal worry I came up with the idea that she could still use her own hand writing but could have her first or first and last name instead. We used the graphics tablet and Emily wrote her name(s) out until she got what that she was happy with and then we copied these to one side so I knew exactly which ones I needed to apply to the business card design.

At this point I'd come up with three possible options for both the fronts and the back of Emily's business card. She could simply have her work placed on the front, as seen above.

She could have her signature/name on the front but in a colour taken from the photograph of her work using the eyedropper tool.

Instead of the colour, Emily could have her signature/name in white instead because this seems to work well with all of the colours within the imagery of her work.

These are the different options for the logo that myself and Emily have discussed. I've applied them all the how the business card is going to be laid out to show Emily realistically how each would look. Emily has also decided at this point to go with Gill Sans as the font for her contact details. Her name is in Gill Sans Regular and the contact information is Gill Sans Light. This particular font works really well with the handwritten logo because it's very simplistic and the two compliment each other.
I am going to send Emily screen shots of all of the above to see what she likes best for her business card design as we are unable to have a meeting next week.
