BAGD yearbook proposal; Previous yearbooks from LCA.

2009

2010

2012

I looked into the previous years yearbooks in order to see what had already been done and what we could do to be different and create a unique design. I think my favourite is definitely the 2010 one because although it still has this simple double page spread idea, they've mixed it up a bit with the layout and the fact some things are placed so that you have to turn the yearbook to one side to read it. The overall solution looks well considered and consistent throughout. Something that has been consistent throughout all the yearbooks is that a couple of colours have been chosen each time to create a kind of brand or theme. From looking at these yearbooks I've come to the conclusion that our design needs to be very content driven and asthetically simplistic. How can we work away from this normal double page spread layout that has been used throughout previous years?

*I was unable to screeshot the 2011 yearbook as the link was broken!

Final Major Project: Brief ideas.

1. Graphic Design yearbook proposal
2. YCN
3. Tigerprint
4. Threadless
5. Converse
6. Penguins
7. Brand and package nail varnish
8. Illustrative book
9. Themed greetings cards
10. 2016 olympic logo
11. Geek table collective

These are all ideas i've had from the previous module, from areas of design I'd like to explore more and also personal interests that are relevent to my personal practice. I need to write my briefs properly in the usual format next so I can communicate exactly what I plan to do and what I'd like to get out of each brief. With the competition briefs I need to choose specific ones I would like to do. All briefs are subject to change.
